Cookies Policy

In accordance with the provisions of Article 22.2 of the Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce Act (LSSI) and in line with the European Directive 2009/136/EC, we inform you and you consent to the use of cookies on our portal, either by explicitly accepting the notice or by mere browsing.

What are cookies?

Cookies are files that can be downloaded to your device via web pages. They are essential tools for delivering many information society services. Among other things, they allow a website to store and retrieve information about a user’s or device’s browsing habits and, depending on the information obtained, they can be used to recognise the user and improve the service offered.

Types of cookies

Depending on the entity managing the domain from which the cookies are sent and processing the obtained data, cookies can be classified as:

  • First-party cookies: Sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher and used to provide the service requested by the user.

  • Third-party cookies: Sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain not managed by the publisher but by another entity processing the data obtained through the cookies.

If cookies are installed from a computer or domain managed by the publisher but the information collected is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered first-party cookies.

There is another classification based on the duration of storage in the user’s browser:

  • Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page. These are typically used to store information only needed for the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g., a list of purchased products).

  • Persistent cookies: Data remains stored on the user’s device and can be accessed and processed for a defined period by the cookie’s controller, ranging from a few minutes to several years.

Finally, cookies can also be classified by their purpose, as follows:

  • Technical cookies: Enable users to browse a website, platform, or application and use various options or services, such as controlling data traffic, identifying sessions, accessing restricted areas, remembering items in a shopping cart, completing purchase processes, registering for events, using security features, storing multimedia content, or sharing content on social media.

  • Personalisation cookies: Allow users to access the service with predefined general characteristics based on criteria such as language, browser type, or regional settings.

  • Analytics cookies: Enable tracking and analysing user behaviour on websites, apps, or platforms. The collected data helps measure activity and develop user navigation profiles to introduce improvements based on usage analysis.

  • Advertising cookies: Allow for the efficient management of advertising spaces.

  • Behavioural advertising cookies: Store information on user behaviour obtained through continuous observation of browsing habits, enabling the development of a specific profile for targeted advertising.

  • External social media cookies: Allow visitors to interact with content on various social platforms (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn). These cookies are generated exclusively for users of these networks and are governed by the privacy policies of the respective platforms.
